JOB OPENINGS FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR

Nittany Christian School (NCS) is seeking experienced, student-centered, highly qualified individuals to fill two positions which are currently open at our school. Prospective candidates must be Bible-believing individuals who regularly attend a local church and whose lives exemplify the teachings of Scripture. Our students thrive from the personal attention of our caring teachers and staff who are dedicated to each child’s success. We combine excellent academic instruction and character development, which are taught from a biblical perspective. At NCS, we care about who each student is and who they are becoming.

Fourth Grade Classroom Teacher

An ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Elementary Education

  •  Classroom teaching experience

  • Be a born-again Christian who believes that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God

  • The ability to teach the Bible and integrate it into the various subject areas

  • Familiarity with Google Classroom

Duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Create and teach lessons for all  academic subjects taught in the third grade classroom, including Bible.

  • Work cooperatively with the 3rd-5th Grade Teaching Team to help cover recesses, lunch, and dismissal duties.

  • Nurture the children’s spiritual development by integrating biblical principles into daily activities, lessons, and classroom management.

An ideal candidate would possess the following:

  • An Associate’s degree or higher in Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field

  • Ability to actively instruct children in various physical activities/games

  • Prior experience working with children

  • Ability to integrate God’s Word and truths into P.E. and Health lessons

  • Be a born-again Christian who believes that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God

Duties would include but are not limited to:

  • Create and teach physical education lessons for grades K-8 (9 classes per week)

  • Create and teach health lessons for grades 6-8, ½ year per grade, one class per week (Two one semester, one the other)

  • Assist in covering some duties such as lunch, recess, and dismissal
